Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 29 November 2018 to Question 194056, whether his Department has estimated the cost of Health Education England's workforce proposals.

NHS England has confirmed funding of over £600 million between 2017/18 and 2020/21 to support delivery of the Cancer Strategy for England.

Funding of Cancer workforce commitments made in Health Education England (HEE)’s Cancer Workforce Plan published in December 2017 is contained in HEE's overall budget and is not separately identifiable.

Going forward, cancer services will be included in the forthcoming National Health Service long-term plan.
