It is vital that passengers drink responsibly and are aware of the penalties of being drunk on an aircraft. The Government supports the industry’s approach to this issue, including the UK Aviation Industry Code of Practice on Disruptive Passengers, and initiatives such as the ‘One Too Many’ awareness campaign and the introduction of tamper-proof bags for duty free alcohol sales. The Government continues to work in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority, airports and airlines to consider further measures needed to tackle this problem.
