Question to the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, pursuant to the answer of 14 July 2026 to question 16800, what specific funding has been allocated within the Business Growth Service budget for fiscal year 2026-27 explicitly to help SMEs develop business continuity plans.
Although no specific funding has been allocated to the Business Growth Service (BGS) for financial year 2026-27 to help UK SMEs develop business continuity plans, DBT supports small and medium sized businesses become more resilient in the event of major disruption in a number of ways.
BGS is part of a wide range of business support channels available that include the Business Support Service and Growth Hubs in England providing support and guidance to help businesses plan, adapt and respond to challenges. These include practical cyber resilience measures such as Cyber Essentials among SMEs.
