Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what his Department's expected timescale is to publish its response to the Council tax valuation of Houses in Multiple Occupation consultation.

The Government has set out its intention that Houses in Multiple Occupation should generally be treated as one dwelling for the purposes of council tax and provided with a single council tax banding. We are considering responses to the consultation and will publish the Government's response shortly.
