Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what estimate he has made of the cost to NHS England of payments to private companies for the treatment of patients with (a) learning disabilities and (b) autism in in each year since 2010.

The Department does not hold the information requested prior to 2017/18.
Total spending by National Health Service commissioners to private companies for the treatment of patients with learning disabilities and autism for 2017-18 is shown in the following table.
