Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many cases of (a) restless leg syndrome and (b) periodic leg movement disorder have been diagnosed in each of the last five years.

Information specific to restless leg syndrome and periodic leg movement disorder is not collected centrally. Whilst information is collected, on specified extrapyramidal and movement disorders, which would include restless leg syndrome and periodic leg movement disorder, that data is not limited to these conditions and, therefore, would be an overcount.
