Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what support is available to help people challenge employers who do not act on Access to Work recommendations in a timely manner.
Access to Work advisers provide advice and guidance to employers to assist in ensuring that they are able to procure and implement the required adjustments and understand what the consequences for the individual would be if they did not. This helps ensure there is a shared understanding of what is required.
Access to Work does not intervene in disputes between an employee and employer should these occur, but an Access to Work assessment provides a good basis for discussion between the employee and their employer
