Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether his Department held discussions with Southeastern on ticket office closures before 1 December 2022.

The Department has regular meetings with Southeastern, as it does with all train operating companies, to discuss a wide range of topics. Southeastern’s proposals around ticket offices, like those of the rest of the industry’s, represent a real opportunity to update and improve the way they deliver for today’s customers in the most efficient and effective way.
