Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, pursuant to the Answer of 3 July 2023 to Question 191251, if he will direct Public Health England to estimate the number of people projected to have diabetes in 2030 based on recent data.

We intend to update the projected estimates of people with diabetes in due course, however we are still awaiting sufficient validated data for us to do this.
