Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, how many full-time equivalent staff are working on policies under the UK International Development brand.

As the Foreign Secretary stated in his oral evidence to the International Development Committee on 20 June, although not everyone in the FCDO is a development professional, everyone should be thinking about, talking about and helping to deliver the development priorities set out in the International Development Strategy. Development is at the heart of our foreign policy and is a core part of all of our work. We do not therefore hold a list of officials working on development policy.
