Question to the Department for Business and Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what recent assessment she has made of fraudulent practices in the housebuilding industry on public confidence in the housebuilding industry.
This question was answered on 6th July 2023
The Department for Business and Trade has made no such assessment.
Regarding labour fraud, HM Revenue and Customs recognise, and regularly assess, labour fraud within the construction industry and use the full range of civil and criminal powers where they identify fraudulent activity.
