Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the efficacy of the ambition of 75 per cent of cancer patients to be diagnosed at stage I or II by 2028 as set out in the NHS Long Term Plan.

The Government and NHS England remain committed to the Long-Term Plan ambition of diagnosing 75% of cancers at stage 1 and 2 by 2028. The latest published data shows this was at 52% between January 2020 to December 2020.
