Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will publish data on the average period of time between a diagnosis of HIV and initiation on antiretroviral therapy in the most recent year for which data is available.

Public Health England publishes data on the time interval between diagnosis of HIV and initiation of treatment. Latest available data show that in 2016 in the United Kingdom, 76% (3,214/4,225) of people newly diagnosed with HIV started treatment within 90 days of diagnosis.
