The Department for Transport has not undertaken any comparative assessment of the value for money for allocating funds for electrically assisted pedal cycles, electric cars and vans. However, at September’s Zero Emission Vehicle Summit the Prime Minister announced a £2 million funding programme to support the uptake of e-cargo bikes. The details of the scheme, alongside a value for money analysis are currently being developed.
