Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many times (a) she and (b) her predecessors met His Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools since October 2022; and when she last met the Chief Inspector.

My right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Education has met His Majesty’s Chief Inspector on five occasions since October 2022 as part of a routine programme of meetings, with the latest meeting taking place on 19 April 2023. Regular meetings are scheduled for every six weeks.

In addition to this, the wider Ministerial team regularly meet HM Chief Inspector individually to discuss matters relating to their Ministerial portfolios.
