Notes:

  1. From April 2013, responsibility for commissioning the NHS Stop Smoking Services moved from primary care trusts (PCTs) to local authorities. Therefore from April 2013 these data are collected and reported at region and local authority level rather than by strategic health authority and PCT.
  2. Due to this change in methodology, data prior to 2013/14 are not comparable to those after.

Information on successful quitters at local authority level is not held in the format requested and could only be obtained at disproportionate cost. The data are not broken down by clinical commissioning group or parliamentary constituency and therefore are not available.
