Free School Meals: Ethnic Groups

Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, whether her Department collects data on free school meals by ethnicity.

Data on free school meals is collected in each term of the school census. Breakdowns by ethnicity are collected in the spring school census.
The most recent figures for number of pupils eligible for and claiming free school meals by ethnicity were published in the response to parliamentary question UIN 63494, tabled on 23 June 2020.
