The attached table, provided by the Department of Education, contains information related to the number of child death reviews that were completed in each of the years ending 2013 to 2017, where the cause of death had been identified as due to trauma or external factors. These data show the breakdown of the number of deaths reported at national, regional and local authority area in England. Figures lower than five for each area have been suppressed to protect the identity of the children.
