Health Education England, through the National School for Healthcare Science, has increased the number of trainees by 12.5% from 36 for 2017/18 to 45 for 2018/19.

Cardiac science will remain a priority area for the National School for Healthcare Science and future training post numbers will form part of Health Education England’s workforce planning process for 2019 onwards.
