Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many GPs closed their surgeries to new patients in each of the last six years for which figures are available.

The number of general practitioner (GP) practices that closed their surgeries to new patients can be found in the following table.

Number of GP practices with closed practice lists | 145 | 106 |
The number of GP practices with closed practice list was not held before 2016/17.
