I meet regularly with my Ministerial colleagues in the Department for Work and Pensions, and across Government to discuss how we can work together to better support victims of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), including Sexual Violence. The Minister for Family Support, Housing and Child Maintenance attended our Inter Ministerial Group on VAWG on 27 June.

The Government has made protecting women and girls from violence and supporting victims and survivors of sexual violence a key priority. It is important that victims receive the support they need and as part of the Ending VAWG Strategy refresh, the Home Office is discussing with all departments what more they can do. The process is also informed by our partners in the third sector, including organisations who provide support to victims of sexual violence. The refreshed Strategy will go further in the areas where our partners tell us there is more to do.
