Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what impact assessments have been undertaken by his Department on the effect of costs associated with accessing the Department for Transport’s central services unit for clean air zones on local authority budgets.

There will be no impact on local authority budgets. All implementation and operational costs are either covered by central Government funding or from revenues raised from the charges that local authorities collect from customers that pay to drive in the clean air zone.
