Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what progress has he made on restarting work on the Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Smethwick.

As stated in the answer I gave in reply to Question 150571, Ministers across Government are determined to finish construction as quickly as possible and to do this in a way that secures best value for the tax payer.

Following the decision that a contractual solution should now be considered, we remain in active discussions with all relevant parties to restart the project as soon as possible.
