Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how much is paid in Schedule 4 compensation payment to train operations for delayed journey.

As explained in my previous response to the Hon Member on 23 September, UIN 10378 (http://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/written-questions-answers-statements/written-questions-answers/?page=1&max=20&questiontype=AllQuestions&house=commons%2clords&uin=10378), the Department does not hold details of the timing, number or value of such payments, which are a commercial matter between the parties directly concerned, overseen by the Office of Rail and Road.
