The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has funded programmes to support building effective and accountable public and judicial institutions in Bahrain. In financial year 2016-17, £1.52 million was spent on UK expertise to support Bahraini-led reform through the Conflict Stability and Security Fund. No funding was received from the Integrated Activity Fund (IAF) in 2016-17 for this activity. The IAF funded a range of projects in the Gulf in 2016-17 and, as many of these activities are delivered across the region, it is not possible to provide a breakdown according to each beneficiary state.
