Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure that A&E targets are met by the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust.

NHS Improvement advises that University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust holds a fortnightly emergency department system meeting that brings together all partners to analyse data and refresh the Trust’s action plan. The Trust is currently implementing a staffing investment plan and many important positions are now permanently filled.

Between March and May 2018 there was an increase of 11.2 percentage points in the number of people who were seen and then treated, admitted, or discharged within four hours.
