Question to the Department for International Development:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what support her Department is providing to the UNAIDS HIV Prevention 2020 Road Map.

The UK government is a long-standing supporter of UNAIDS’s efforts to end the HIV epidemic, committing up to £75m between 2016 and 2021.

We remain deeply concerned that global HIV infection rates are not declining fast enough, and believe HIV prevention must be prioritised. So we are proud to be a founding member of the Global HIV Prevention Coalition and supported the adoption of the UNAIDS HIV Prevention 2020 Road Map in October 2017, and its follow-up events.
