Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, how many allegations of impersonation were made to the police in relation to the 2018 local government elections; how many of those allegations are under investigation; and what the proportion of the votes cast at those elections those cases represent.

This Government is committed to creating a clear and secure democracy that works for

everyone and, as part of this, wants to ensure that fraud is stamped out in all elections. Any

instance of electoral fraud is one instance too many. The Electoral Commission collates information on allegations of electoral fraud at elections and in due course will publish a report covering polls held in 2018.
