Doctors and Nurses: Qualifications

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment his Department has made of the potential effect on the NHS of an agreement not being reached with the EU on mutual qualification recognition for (a) doctors and (b) nurses after the UK leaves the EU.

The Government is confident that an agreement will be reached with the European Union on the Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications. The Department is working with our partners across Government and the public sector to understand the effect on the National Health Service of an agreement on mutual recognition with the European Union.
