The first meeting of the Retail Sector Council was held on the 22nd March 2018, with the second meeting due to be held on the 25th June 2018.

The following members attended the March meeting: Amazon, Asos, Association of Convenience Stores, Boots, British Retail Consortium, GFirst LEP, Keelham Farm Shop, and the Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers (USDAW). I co-chaired the meeting with Richard Pennycook, Chairman of Fenwick, The Hut Group and Howden Joinery Group. Senior officials from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy were also in attendance.
