Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, pursuant to the Answer of 17 May 2018 to Question 140664 on local government finance, if he will make it his Department's policy to record all cross-departmental discussions between (a) political advisers and (b) civil servants on the effects of the UK leaving the EU.

It is not the Department’s policy to record all cross-departmental discussions between officials. Engagement between officials routinely takes place through a wide range of channels and fora. Information on such discussions is not held centrally and it would not be feasible to do so.
