British Indian Ocean Territory: Sovereignty

Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether other countries have been represented (a) officially and (b) as observers in the negotiations with the Mauritian government on the exercise of sovereignty over the British Indian Ocean Territory.

The negotiations are held in private on a bilateral basis between the UK and Mauritius.
