Ensuring patient safety in mental health services is a key priority for the Department. NHS England is working closely with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust’s Eating Disorder service to assess the potential impacts of recent proposed changes in service provision. NHS England will ensure that the proposed changes meet service specifications, adhere to National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance and continue to offer an effective, safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
