Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if his Department will publish an immigration white paper before the Migration Advisory Committee's final report on the effect on the UK labour market of the UK’s exit from the European Union is published.

Our first priority in negotiations was to reach a deal on citizens’ rights, which we did in December. This gives certainty to those EU citizens living in the UK, and UK nationals living in the EU, that they can continue living their lives broadly as now.

We are considering a range of options for the future immigration system and will set out initial plans later this year.
