Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what assessment he has made of the effect on children of the extended custody time limits introduced in The Prosecution of Offences (Custody Time Limits) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020.

As we have announced, a Statutory Instrument to remove children from The Prosecution of Offences (Custody Time Limits) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 will be introduced as soon as Parliamentary time allows.
