Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to the Answer of 8 May 2018 to Question 140194, for what reasons information on Tier 2 applications by doctors and nurses turned down over the last 12 months is not included in statistics published by his Department.

The information requested on specific professions is not held on the statistical databases and could only be produced at disproportionate cost.

Statistics on refusals of applications for Tier 2 visas are published in the quarterly Immigration Statistics, Visas volume 1, table vi_01_q, latest edition at https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/immigration-statistics-october-to-december-2017
