Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what assessment his Department has made of the impact of carbon tariffs on the economic performance of steel companies in the UK.

The UK does not currently have in place a system of carbon tariffs or carbon border taxes, otherwise known as a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
