Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made on the comparative effectiveness of conspicuous and inconspicuous speed cameras on reducing speeding.

The Government want to ensure fairness for drivers and safety on our roads. The Department’s guidance to local authorities is clear that speed camera housings or the camera operator or the mobile enforcement vehicle should be clearly visible from the driver’s viewpoint.
