Maintaining affordable energy supplies for both the UK and the EU is a key objective of the Future Economic Partnership being sought by the UK.

We want to continue arrangements that allow efficient trade of electricity to take place between the EU and the UK. However, the future trade agreement will be decided in negotiations, and we are unable to comment on these arrangements until negotiations conclude.
