General Practitioners: Training

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many general practice speciality training posts have been (a) commissioned and (b) filled to date.
This question was answered on 10th May 2018
In 2017, there were 3,250 general practice speciality training posts available, of which 3,157 were filled. In 2018, 3,250 places have been made available and the fill rate will be published on Health Education England’s website at the end of May 2018.
