A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Home Office and Albania’s Ministry of Internal Affairs was agreed to enable the exchange of information to assist both parties in their activities to combat trafficking in human beings.

There has been no formal assessment of the effect of the MoU to date. Home Office officials have been in recent discussions with the Albanian authorities over how to make the most effective use of the MoU and this will include an annual assessment expected in spring 2019.
