We are delivering the most ambitious childhood obesity plan in the world. Key measures include the soft drinks industry levy, helping children to exercise more, funding more research and cutting sugar and calories in food. We are already seeing results with many in the food and drinks industry reducing levels of sugar in their products. This will impact on tackling obesity across all age groups.

All reports and data published on progress in delivering our plan will be open to scrutiny. We will use this to determine whether sufficient progress has been made and whether alternative levers need to be considered.
