Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether his Department has made an assessment of the compatibility of the Town and Country Planning (Discharge of Local Planning Authority Functions) (England) Regulations 2026 with Articles 10 and 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

The government considers that the regulations in question, as well as the enabling powers for them contained in the Planning and Infrastructure Act 2025, are compatible with the European Convention on Human Rights.
