Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many passport applications the British embassy in Dublin approved in each of the last 10 years; and of those applications what proportion were (a) for new and (b) to renew passports.

Since the repatriation of passport processing in 2014, all decisions relating to UK passport applications made from Ireland have been taken by Her Majesty’s Passport Office in the UK. The information on passport applications processed by the Dublin office before repatriation could only be obtained at disproportionate cost.
