We are concerned by the decision of the Government of the Philippines to withdraw the Philippines from the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Our Embassy in Manila is raising concerns with the Administration. The ICC has an important role to play in ending impunity for the most serious crimes of international concern by holding perpetrators to account and achieving justice for victims.
