Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many applications for asylum submitted by victims of trafficking are awaiting a decision to date.

The number of asylum claims submitted by potential victims and victims of trafficking, is not held in a format which is reportable and would require a manual check of each record.

Data on the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) is published regularly by the National Crime Agency and in the UK Annual Report on Modern Slavery. These reports are available via the following links:
