Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many cases of illegal working were passed from the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority to Immigration Enforcement in each of the last five years.
The information requested is not collected. Section 19 of the Gangmasters Licensing Act 2004 makes provision for the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority to share information for the purposes of the Act, or for any purpose connected with the exercise of its functions under the Act. This includes sharing intelligence reports with Immigration Enforcement which may include information relating to illegal working.
