Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, what discussions his Department had with the national centre for data in Newcastle when determining the remit and location of the national data ethics centre.

Officials have been in contact with staff at the National Innovation Centre for Data in Newcastle to discuss the new Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation. The remit and location of the CDEI remain subject to ongoing discussions, and officials will continue to engage with NICD along with other stakeholders as these discussions progress.
