Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what the average tax penalty paid to HMRC for (a) late and (b) underpaid taxation was in (i) 2020, (ii) 2021 and (iii) 2022.

Below is a table providing the average penalty value (rounded to the nearest £ hundred) between 2019-20 to 2021-22.
