Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, when her department next plans to update new country policy and information notes on Sudan.

We regularly review the situation in countries of origin and our corresponding program for updating our country policy and information notes.

As we explained in response to the Independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration’s inspection of country of origin information, decisions of which existing CPINs to update and which new ones to produce takes into account a range of factors, such as geopolitical changes, migration trends, policy changes, and new caselaw.

The current country policy and information notes on Sudan were published in August 2017.
